Between far-off beach vacations and spa trips in Ezra's very recent past, you wouldn't have necessarily thought he felt like things had been going a little rough for him lately. But... Yeah. Relaxation was far more context-dependent than you thought.
But still, surely it was a coincidence that Ezra had settled on this of all days to invite Ada to come over for her first ever visit to Currant? A complete coincidence, owing nothing to how his big showcase was just days away.
Right.
Anyway. He'd gone and picked her up from the portal, and now they were here, walking the pathway down to the house in the woods he shared with Lock. His arm was around her waist, keeping her close to his side. "So, here's my palace."
Or a quaint, small, unassuming house that looked more like it was housing little old ladies rather than supernatural mob guys. Palaces were context-dependent too.
