Ava and Lock had meant to come visit this weekend. Or possibly Ava or Lock, since they were still being weird around each other. Because they were idiots. But in the end, neither ended up being able to come by. Some Coterie whatever, the usual. Alistair with an errand or something.

So, Ezra was spending his Sunday the way the gods had intended him to: by sprawling on his bed. And flirting with people over texts.

It was pretty great.

This weekend really had Sarah considering Kathy in a new light. Right now, she was super impressed that her sister had learned to flirt from this guy--he was hot enough that even she felt a little tongue-tied and she wasn't Miss Wallflower 2010-2015.

"I like Dante's priorities," Sarah said, batting her lashes at Ezra. "Though I think he may have undersold your appeal, wow."

Ezra sighed at the pleasant shiver that went down his spine. "Okay," he said, "I think I'm convinced."

He was easy.

Dante chuckled. "That was easy," he said. "Not that I'm complaining." He slid his tongue over the same patch of skin.

He'd had a weekend of weird shit and people repeatedly asking him if he had anyone coming over, right along with that earnest 'but there must be someone' thing.

In comparison, Ezra's was a nice, safe, and yep, easy place to be.

Ezra smirked in a way that probably would make Kathy want to maim him. Oh well. "You should tell me more about that."

Ezra delighted in being nice and safe and easy. Up to a point, anyway. It worked fine for these purposes.

He reached down and snuck a hand under Dante's shirt. "I'm easily swayed by hot people," he noted. "Aves would certainly have told you that if she'd actually made it down here."

"Missed out on some weekend guests?"

Hey, just because he primarily came here to get laid didn't mean he wasn't actually interested in what was going on with Ezra.

Dante slid his hands down to grip Ez's hips.

"Ava and Lock were coming." His nails dragged slowly over Dante's ribs. "Then they weren't."

He didn't sound all that fussed. Would it have been nice if one or both had shown up? Sure. But he could always go see them himself if he decided he wanted to.

Somewhere, Kathy had the inexplicable urge to scream, She just turned fourteen! Go figure.

"How hot you are?" Sarah asked, lounging in the doorway in such a way that her chest stuck out a little. "I have a feeling you already know."

Hey, he could see she was pretty young! That was why he was just smirking instead of leering!

"But I always enjoy hearing it."

In particular from people who looked suspiciously familiar.

"Well, you're way hotter than I expected," Sarah told him honestly. "You're not even nerd-hot, you're, like, regular hot, but times ten."

And then she winked at him. "Of course, I'm told I'm pretty, too." Hint hint.

Guess who had inherited the lion's share of boldness in the family?

"Well, you're certainly not unattractive," Ezra told her, because he couldn't not. "So, to what do I owe this pleasure? Just Dante randomly advertising my attractiveness?"

"Not unattractive?" Sarah pouted at him. "And here I was talking nice about how hot you are." You could do better, Ezra, c'mon! She had a healthy teen ego to feed. "And I looked you up because I wanted to know who you are. You know my sister. Know her pretty well, Dante says."

Yep, Sarah was still fishing for information. Because the way Kathy had acted when she'd brought up Ezra's name had been very interesting.

Dante groaned softly as those nails made contact. He nipped at Ezra's ear.

"Don't sound too worried."

"It's not as if they adore me any less."

Ezra had a healthy amount of self-estem. As well as an in-depth understanding of why Coterie kids couldn't always go through with their plans.

He dug in a little harder with his nails.

"And who, pray tell, is your sister, darling?"

As if he needed to ask. He was doing so for fun.

And in return, he got a groan that was a little less soft.

Dante scraped his teeth along Ezra's neck, then replaced that with his tongue. "Mhm."

Hey, he saw no reason to push further. Conversationally, anyway.

Ezra snickered. "Astute observation," he murmured, not that he cared much for talking, either. At least in any deep and meaningful way – after all, most of the time the only way to shut his mouth was to put something in it.

Anyway, he pushed his other hand under Dante's shirt, too. Touching (or scratching) someone else's skin was clearly what his day had been missing, and he was making up for that now.

If pushed, Dante would admit to some curiosity about Ez and where he came from. But he was also cagey enough about his own shit that he knew a non-starter when he saw one.

For the time being, anyway.

So he snickered, too, before leaning in to nip at Ezra's mouth. Maybe slip his tongue in there, just so they had a decent reason not to keep talking.

Not that he minded Ezra talking. Much.

At least he wasn't actively telling Ezra to shut it the way his previous guy-with-benefits had.

And Ezra could take a hint. Or at least get distracted. Because, mouths. Tongue. He could get into that kind of thing.

Dante slid his thumbs under the edge of Ezra's waistband while he focused on the guy's mouth. Hey, skin, that was nice.

It wasn't like he wanted Ezra to shut up, particularly. Just, you know, mouth. And a kiss that was getting rougher by the second.

Well, no hard feelings.

(That was going to be a pun in a moment, probably.)

And Ezra could respond in kind. If rough was the tone of the moment, he could match that, and bring a little harshness of his own. And not just with his nails, still leaving probably slightly stinging trails over Dante's sides and lower back.

He was contemplating a few moves. He'd get to those in a second.

Normally, Sarah would have responded with a snarky answer--there weren't a lot of girls around here who she could be related to, after all--but he'd just called her darling and that was enough of a distraction.

"Kathy," she said. "I'm told you're...friends?"

She would never believe him if he told her about the 'with-benefits' designation.

Rough was usually the tone of the moment for Dante, unless someone slowed him down. (Never hard feelings about that, either. Heh.) He moaned into the kiss, rocking his hips up against Ezra.

One of his hands slid away from Ezra's hips to cup him through his pants.

Too bad. They were such great benefits, too!

Ezra smiled at her. "Ah, Kathy. You could most definitely say that." He wasn't even hinting at the benefits. He was just generally a little smirky. "She's a very dear friend."

Ezra took that as his cue to let out a little moan. And, to interrupt the kiss in favor of nipping at Dante's neck because it was looking awfully pristine so far.

Also his nipping gave way to a sharper bite pretty fast. Whoops.
