Mainland Side of the Causeway, Saturday Noon
It was possible Ezra was still a little drunk from last night.
It was absolute fact, however, that he had somehow managed to lose his shirt over the course of the night, because he was currently traipsing towards the causeway with brief flashes of the still slightly tanned skin of his stomach showing from underneath his jacket. He had also gained a scarf from somewhere. It was silk and had bright flowers on it. It was definitely not one of his. Except now it was.
He stopped and gazed towards the island, swaying in place a little bit, squinting at the silhouette of the school through his sunglasses, which sat a little crookedly on his nose. He sighed. This was good.
Except for the stupid walk back to the island, of course.

You know. Like, as an example. Hypothetically.
Kathy laughed and immediately started scritching behind his ears. "Okay, okay! Pettings it is. You're so soft!" It was all Kathy could do not to scoop him up and start talking in baby talk or something. But no matter how much she wanted to, she was not going to ask Ezra if he was a good fox. She just wasn't. "And so handsome. Such gorgeous fur, too."
Oh god, Kathy. Your dignity.

He'd made his point, but couldn't help indulging in getting scritches for a moment. Call him a little greedy.

"Should I bring you and your clothes somewhere you can change privately?" she asked. "Just so you don't have to get dressed on the side of the road next to the Causeway. And not at all because I want an excuse to pick you up. That would be silly."

So he rubbed the top of his head against her hand for a second longer, then hopped away from her to where his clothes were folded neatly with his sunglasses on top.
Hopefully she could take a hint, because he couldn't really issue a verbal warning of the shift before it happened. The best he could do was try and angle himself so she didn't get too bad (or good, really) an eyeful of anything she might not want to see.
"I think I'm good," over his shoulder. "But thank you."

Not that she was thinking about how much fun it would be to bite Ezra. Really.
...Telepathy wasn't one of his gifts, right?

"People tell me I'm adorable a lot," he said. The scarf went around his neck again, the jacket slipped on. "And the danger of getting bitten by me is a lot more dangerous while I'm a fox. Human bites, however, some people enjoy very much."
no subject
"I--oh. I'm, umm, pretty sure that's true," she admitted. "I'm betting you're pretty good at lots of things."
no subject
"I am definitely pretty good at lots of things. And more than pretty good at many others."
no subject
"I'd ask if you come with references, but Sparkle's one of my best friends." Which meant she'd gotten no details but a wink and a cheeky grin which had said plenty.
no subject
It often did. It wasn't always a good thing. But, still most of the time!
"I assume that's a good reference. It should be."

Sorry, that joke needed to be made. Or said the smirk Kathy was wearing at that moment.
no subject
"Hold on, does that mean other kinds of biting might happen?"

He had to ask. He was big on respecing people's limits, as much as he might not have seemed that way.

She coughed again. "But I'll admit you've got me...curious."

Nope. She couldn't say booty call. Could not.
"...rendezvous."

Not just that he wouldn't do it, but that he was cognizant that it was something to watch out for, too.
no subject
His mother had raised him well. Being forced to work for the Coterie did something too, probably.
"Not when it's supposed to be fun for everyone."
